Importance Of Surah Kahf “ [All] praise is [due] to Allah, who has sent down upon His Servant the Book and has not made therein any deviance.” (Surah Al Kahf: 1) Quran is a Book of knowledge and guidance to all Muslims. Every letter of this holy book is filled with Hikmah and Barakah.

The original Arabic text may also mean: Who discards the truth, breaks all moral limits and rushes on headlong. The story of the seven sleepers, or the “companions of the cave”, is narrated in the 18th chapter of the Quran (Surah Al-Kahf). This story has great lessons for everyone, especially young Muslims. It was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the response to a test by the Quraish in Madinah. A test of Faith (Ayahs 9 – 26): ‘Al Kahf’ translates to the cave; which relays the story of the people of the cave ‘Ashab Al Kahf’. They believed in Allah, and were consequently ridiculed and prosecuted by their people. They fled and Allah protected them by putting them to sleep.Their iman in Allah was reaffirmed and they found that Surah Al-Kahf is the 18th Surah of the Quran. Comprised of 110 verses and translating to "The Cave", it is considered by many to be among the most important Surahs in the entire Quran. Surat Al-Kahf may be read during the night or the day of Friday. The night of Friday starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Friday ends at sunset. Therefore, the time for reading Surat Al-Kahf extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday. Allah Almighty knows best.
